What is an MBA?
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a Masters level general business degree designed to equip graduates with sophisticated skills and knowledge across the business disciplines. It is by nature and tradition a generalist degree.
IITT Business School does offer specialist postgraduate business degree in the form of the Master of Business Management.
Who should do an MBA?
Students in the MBA program typically have a non-business undergraduate degree and some work experience before undertaking the MBA. They see the MBA as the ideal vehicle to equip them to move ahead in their careers, confidently establish their own businesses, or facilitate a transition to a different organization, industry, or profession.
Why study for an MBA?
Management is a balance of art, craftsmanship and analysis. Consistently successful management based on ‘art’ is rare, needing individuals with instinctive talent.
Craftsmanship, however, is gained through ‘learning by doing’, and analysis can be taught. Our MBA allows you to build your expertise by ensuring that the craftsmanship you have developed through experience is backed up with the full range of analysis tools available. It provides you with a framework within which your practical experience can be fitted and allows you to see how experience built up in one setting can be applied across a variety of business settings and international contexts.
More specifically, the IITT MBA formalizes your knowledge of the management of the key business functions while honing your analytical and interpersonal management skills. You will make life-long friendships on the MBA programme. |
